Breaking paradigms

When I first knew about this INXS's weird idea of re making these classic song with a dozen of singers most of them unknown to me, I wasn't happy at all.
I knew since the very day Michael died, that I was going to support INXS always, no matter the singer.
But one thing is to accept ONE new singer singing Michael's songs live because it is obvious he can't sing them any more, and another thing is re recording them with more than 10 stranger. That was outrageous!
But on February 2011 they came to Argentina and they played those version live. And I loved them.
So I decided to give the album a chance.
And everytime I listen to it I like it more.
I just LOVE Just Keep Walking with Dan Sultan (please watch on YouTube Just Keep Walking Aria Awards 2010), To Look At You with Kav Temperley, Original Sin with that "original" combo formed by Rob Thomas and DJ Yaleidis (listen to Sun In Cuba where she sings with Aussie hero Jimmy Barnes), and Mediate with Tricky. Finally that song had a life of its own and it is not the second part of Need You Tonight that all the DJs cut off on every radio on the planet!
Kick with Nikka Costa is a completely new song, and Mystify gets a new dimension in French.
Pat Monahan does a fantastic job with Beautiful Girl, and the acoustic version of Don't Change is everybody's favourite at every concert...
