Welcome To Wherever You Are, the ninth INXS album, marked a turning point in many ways for the band. With the first chapter of their career effectively capped off by Live Baby Live, INXS was poised for a turnabout and that is exactly what they did in 1992. Plunging headlong into a whirl of inspired songwriting and production, INXS forged what is considered by themselves and many of their fans to be their best album. Hits like ‘Not Enough Time’, ‘Taste It’, ‘Beautiful Girl’ and the rousing ‘Baby Don’t Cry’ (with 60-piece orchestra) accentuated an album full of raw experimentation and fine musical crafting. It reached #1 in the UK and in Sweden;#2 in Australia and Switzerland, and #3 in Norway, #16in the US.
